Girls' Trip - New Orleans - Day 2 (part 2)

After Mardi Gras World, we did some walking around and got hot dogs for lunch...well, they did.  I don't love hot dogs, but luckily had snacks in my bag.  ;)
Then, we met up with a group for a walking cemetery tour.  Walking through the town was hot, but beautiful!

Luckily, no one died of heatstroke.  :)
Isn't that the cutest pink house?!
We joined in the band at Louis Armstrong Park.  :)

We continued walking around and stopped into this crazy bookstore.  Their system was a little less than organized.  ;)

 I bought a book.  :)
Kati got creative looking for something great.  :)
Every once in a while, you'd come across a plaque that told you something awesome about the city.
Then we took photos from every angle of Jackson Square.  :)

Girls' Trip - New Orleans - Day 2 - Mardi Gras World

We used every minute of these days!
We started the day off at Mardi Gras World...where they tell you and show you how they make the floats.

Oh, and they also make the Chick-Fil-A cows that go up on the billboards.  :)

After the tour, they gave out samples of King Cake...not the best ever, but still yummy.
They had this room with funny costumes to put on...so, of course, we did.

And, out on the porch, there was a very lovely, if sunny, view.  :)
They also have this lovely building...that looks like the outside inside.
Fake trees, etc...I forgot the story about it...that's what happens when you blog about a trip over a year after it.

Girls' Trip - New Orleans - Day 1

Every so often, I get to get together with these fabulous women!  This time it involved a few days in New Orleans.  :)
Since we started the trip...not on purpose...on my birthday, they surprised me with balloons and yummy treats!
We headed east to New Orleans, stopped for some boudin on the way,
and got there in time to visit Preservation Hall.  We took a few pictures in a hotel where we stopped for the bathroom.  ;)
The world is a better place because of these ladies!
There was lots of laughter throughout the whole trip.  :)  Also, my arms are NOT long enough for a 4-person selfie!
There were lots of people willing to help take or join in our pictures.  :)

Once the music started, we couldn't take pictures or record anything, but I think that was for the better.  It was so fun to hear the awesome jazz music!

After the music, we went for some dinner.

Tasty food and they sang to me as well.  ;)
